Wordpress squashed over 170 bugs! That's amazing!
Have you done updating your wp? I did for my 4 sites! breaking their 5 minute installation for upgrade. The only tip that I could give with regards to updating version is to backup the files, keep your wp plugins in one folder so you could check out the step by step procedure of the ones that you had added to your site. In this way, removal of some plugins that won't work on the latest version will be as easy as its installation.

To add the tagline for the latest version on the footer of your page, just add this paramater on footer.php or sidebar.php of your blog as set in the Administration panel:
