5th Week: The double thin pink line

I believe I'm pregnant.  I know it long before the "positive" pink stripe appeared before our eyes. 

For days, I've been experiencing some pregnancy symptoms.  I noticed it few days after I missed my period on the 16th of this month. Keeping track of my menstrual cycle is very easy because its regular from one month to the next and Im pretty sure when to expect my period.   And having no period for a while makes me think that I'm pregnant.

Early Signs of Pregnancy

1. 
   
   There's a frequency in my urination and lower abdominal cramps.  If normally I dont get up as early as 6 am to urinate, here's the urgency to do one unless I want our bed to get wet.

   I also have tender swollen breasts just like having another period and my areola has started to get darken.

   I also noticed an increase in my sensitivity to odors but it doesn't mean that I hate perfumes right now, I just feel I'm more sensitive to their smell.

   There are also days that I feel very sleepy, backaches, feeling tired that all of a sudden I just wanna lie down on the couch.

   There's also excessive salivation and together I have noticed an increase in my cravings of food, and from time to time, I wanna eat and drink more. Ironically, there are certain foods that I used to enjoy before that are now completely repulsive to me.

   I'm also constipated, that is  because my growing uterus is pressing against the bowel and I've also experienced this on my first one.  Luckily, I haven't feel my morning sickness yet and I'm very thankful for that.

   Finally, you need to get a proof that you really are pregnant.  Here comes the handy dandy In-home Pregnancy Test Kit.  So we bought one that comes with two urninary pregnancy test.  At first I'm kinda anxious and scared to use it because I know that woman today is particularly prone to ovarian cancer and probably my greatest fear on having slight delays.  So after few days of setting it aside, I decided to use it at last.  On March 19, 2006, with my husband standing beside me in the bathroom, we eagerly opened the foil pouch, used as instructed and after  a couple of minutes, there it was, an extra thin pink line appeared.  It's positive! And we left the bathroom grinning with each other and very pleased with the result.
