Today, I felt much better and comforted than any other days within my first trimester. We decided to permanently change my ob-gyn for one specific reason and that is because the previous is in a group practice. I really want one doctor to focus on me and my baby. It is very difficult for me to see many Certified nurse-midwives and physician at different time and share with them what I feel at that certain point in time. And with that, I've decided to go back to my previous ob-gyne, Dr. E-lea-nor Mar-tinez. She's a Filipina, specializing in Obstetrics & Gynecology(certified).
My visit with her can be highlighted into 3 S's:
- Six years. I haven't seen Dr. Martinez for six years. Few months after I gave birth with my first baby, she stopped accepting blue cross patients, which is basically the reason I stopped seeing her.
- Second baby. Luckily, we recently changed our health insurance plan, and if there's no health problem along the way, hope she'll be the one to deliver again my second child.
- Second visit. This was the second time I visited a doctor for my prenatal check up. I'm just happy to see my ob once again and after all these years, she still remembers me.
Before leaving her office, she gave me bagful of goodies including some magazines, coupons, articles and reading materials, samples of prenatal vitamins and so much more. She asked me to see an Endocrinologist for my Thyroid check ups, because Im having irregular rapid heartbeat and palpitation, and few shortness of breaths between long walks. I asked her about Green Tea, my fave drink and she said its ok but in moderation. I lost 1 pound from my previous check up and my blood pressure is fine 102/60.
My next check up is scheduled on May 9, 2006 at 11:40 am.
