16th Week: Getting Heavier, Getting Bigger

I had terrible cough and colds this week.  I only took Cepacol Lozenges to ease my sore throat and nothing else except for lots of fluids intake.  Stuffy nose is common in pregnancy, with an added allergens when the spring came worsens it all.  But Im glad I feel better than any other days this week, Im slowly recovering from colds and cough is gone at last.

This week, they say the baby is like 5 and half inches long and weighs 3 ounces.  I say this belly is bigger and heavier than my previous one.  And it surprises me when she/he flutters so hard! not just once but at least thrice or five times a day.  But I remember my mother when she delivered our youngest sister, she found out that its full of amniotic fluid, not that the baby is big.  I just remember her drinking lots of fluids that time, Im not sure if it has to do with it.  But one medical assistant told me that it looks like that Im having a big baby because Im tall.  That would not surprise me because Denyse was born like 8 lbs and 11 ounces, 21 inches long.  If I have a choice, I dont wanna deliver a big baby like that anymore, its so hard!

I'll have my AFP test done next week.  I should have it before July 10th, my next Ob check up.  By the way, my appetite is back.  I can eat spicy and greasy foods.  Im back to cooking and my sense of smell is lil bit cooperative along with my taste buds.  Now Im watching my weight as I go along with the rest of the months.  We can't still wait and I'm still excited with the coming of the baby.  We're already thinking of baby's name, Denyse has her own listing, mine will go later when I confirmed the baby's gender, in any event, I'll have it ready at no time.
