17th Week: Reducing Stress



  • Deep breathing - Inhale slowly through your nose hold your breath for the count of five, exhale slowly and deeply. Repeat three or four times

  • Drift away - Look at a picture or object that makes you feel good. Focus on the positive feelings it inspires, or simply listen to some relaxing music.

  • Keep a journal - Expressing your feelings on paper can be a good way to vent frustration. Write for five or 10 minutes without paying any attention to spelling or grammar. Many moms suddenly discover insights or solutions to problems that previously seemed insurmountable.
